The "ECMAScript 2026 Source Code Determinism" proposal you just read is completely fake. There is no TC39 proposal to:

  • ✗Force alphabetical ordering of functions
  • ✗Replace curly braces with Python-style indentation
  • ✗Require variables to be used within 30 lines

What you can learn from this

Always verify technical information from official sources! Real TC39 proposals can be found at github.com/tc39/proposals. Be skeptical of dramatic language changes, especially ones announced around April 1st.
